another good read from Hillerman. This one is a little more political than most, making many references to the apparent 'misplacement' by the Interior Department of billions of dollars of natural gas royalties that was to have been paid to the tribes in northern Arizona and New Mexico. He also implies (gasp!) that Border Patrol and DEA agents might be susceptible to drug-money corruption. And he also seems to think that there are very wealthy and dishonest individuals that effectively own leading government officials. The book ending was a little weak, but overall this is an entertaining book. As before, though, Hillerman's copy editors did a less than stellar job, letting through a number of typos.
