The Psychology of Everyday Things

Synopsis

Good insights into the reasons why so many designs are close to unusable. He gives examples of everyday things ranging in complexity from doors to automobile consoles. The book was written in 1988 and so the technology examples could be expected to be a bit out of date. But in fact his observations do not feel dated, for the most part. He describes a pocket computer that is remarkably like the wireless pocket PCs of today.
